There are more and more publications in foreign media that single them out Miss you among the Greek destinations that promote sustainable tourism.

The German version of Euronews, as well as the website Griechenland Zeitung, highlight the initiatives of the Municipality for a “green” lifestyle without organized sunbeds and with the use of energy independent lighting. According to the tributes based on the targeted program of the EOT, “Leipsi allow a perfect, sustainable holiday experience away from everyday life.

The natural oasis surrounded by islets and reefs is a wonderful place to leave the visitor without organized sunbeds, while after sunset energy self-sufficient solar lights illuminate areas where previously there was no electricity.” The preference for an alternative and more nature-loving approach to holidays was also reflected through the targeted meetings with journalists, bloggers, influencers and representatives of agencies held for the Municipality at the international tourism exhibitions ITB in Berlin and Ferien Messe in Austria.

A notable addition to the destination’s extroversion efforts was the inclusion of Lipsi in a series of targeted online seminars for tourism professionals held by the Italian EOT Office to highlight excellent sustainability practices from selected Greek destinations.

“Following the pioneering Less is more tactic for Greece, we offer an authentic and quality holiday experience that every year becomes even more relevant and popular in the domestic market and abroad. “Leipso conquers the hearts of Greeks and international travelers not only thanks to the gifts that nature has bestowed upon us, but also thanks to our ingenuity and the self-organization of the Municipality, professionals and residents,” stressed the mayor of Leipso Fotis Maggos.
