Angelina Jolie and the billionaire environmentalist, David Mayer de Rothschild, they enjoyed a meal together. The 47-year-old actress and the 44-year-old British environmentalist were spotted leaving Nobu in Malibu, California last Thursday. Page Six reported that the walkout lasted three hours.

Jolie was captured leaving the store in a black dress that had side slits. She completed her look with a pair of black heels and matching sunglasses.

Jolie’s outing with Mayer came months after the star announced she was stepping down from her role as UNHCR’s special envoy for refugees in December.

“I will continue to do everything in my power in the coming years to support refugees and other displaced people,” the famous actress said, among other things. He added: “I feel it’s time to work in a different way, to support refugees.”

A source close to the actress told People that Jolie has “decided to leave UNHCR so that she can devote more of her efforts to supporting groups led by those most directly affected by conflicts, to help them raise their voices.” He has worked with organizations such as the MJP Foundation in Cambodia, which he founded in 2003.

“She will be more effective as a foreigner,” the source added. “It’s always been that way and more with the people than the system.”

Jolie had worked with UNHCR since 2001 and was appointed special envoy in 2012.
