The director shot down rumors that wanted actor Logan Lerman to take on the role
James Gunn announced on social media that he still hasn’t decided who will play Superman in his ‘Man of Steel, Superman: Legacy’ movie. In doing so, the director shot down rumors that wanted actor Logan Lerman to take on the role.
Responding to a fan’s claim that Lerman is Gunn’s first choice, the director wrote: “For the record, I don’t know who that is.”
Not true. Haven’t had a single talk with a single actor about the role. Just making private lists, preparing material for auditions. https://t.co/uvUaqCobaT

He added: “Guys, this is not a burial for the actor. I don’t know many actors names. Now that you tell me who he is, I recognize him from things he’s done and I think he’s talented. But I’ve never met him and his name has never been discussed to play Superman.”
Gunn further informed, “I haven’t spoken to a single actor about the role. Lists are just being made, and I’m preparing material for the auditions.”
