The NBAthe organizing authority of the USA Basketball Championship announced that the BTS member Suga is its new ambassador. Yesterday, the NBA released a video of Suga on its official Twitter account, where the K-pop idol reveals that he is “proud to announce that he has become an NBA ambassador.”

“It’s a great honor for me, as I’ve loved basketball since I was little. Stay tuned because there will be more with the NBA,” he says in the video. The music video also features footage of Suga at NBA games, as well as posing with various players.

“Music and basketball have been my shared passions since I was little, and it’s a dream to be named an NBA ambassador,” the K-pop superstar member said in a press release, according to the NBA’s official website.

“I am excited to formalize my relationship with the NBA and look forward to sharing some exciting partnerships I have planned with the Federation in the coming months.”

According to the NBA’s official website, Suga is set to participate in several initiatives during the remainder of the 2022-2023 NBA season and will attend games at events in the US and Asia. In addition, NBA is also set to collaborate with Suga at some of his upcoming concerts in support of his debut solo album ‘D-Day’.
