Netflix has announced that it is preparing an animated series that takes place in its universe “Stranger Things”. The creators of the popular Stranger Things series, the Duffer brothers, have revealed that they are working on the currently untitled spin-off project, which will be “in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons they grew up with.”

“We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things series, like the Saturday morning cartoons we’ve come to love, and to see that dream come true is absolutely exciting,” Matt and Ross Duffer said in a statement.
“Stranger Things” has proven to be a global hit and one of Netflix’s most popular original series since it launched in 2016. The fifth and final season concluded in February 2022. Netflix announced plans for a live-action spinoff series in July 2022.
