The first trailer of the film “The Marvels” released by Disney with the award-winning actress Brie Larson to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to directing, Nia DaCosta also wrote the screenplay along with Megan McDonnell, Elisa Karasik and Zeb Wells. She is the first black woman and the fourth woman to direct a film in the MCU.
According to the official synopsis of “The Marvels” Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyranny of the Kree and has taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. Yet he has shouldered the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her into an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree rebellion, her powers become entangled with those of Kamala Kahn and her estranged niece, now SABER astronaut Captain Monica Rambo. This unlikely trio must work together to save the universe as ‘The Marvels’.
