Warner Bros. Discovery has released the first trailer for season 4 of the popular series “True Detective” during the presentation of the new streaming service called Max.

In the 4th cycle the drama series with the title “True Detective: Night Country” takes place in Ennis, Alaska, where eight men who work for the Tsalal Research Station disappear without a trace. Starring with them are, among others, Christopher Eccleston, John Hawkes and Fiona Shaw. Issa Lopes has written the script for the new season and is directing all episodes, while she and Foster are executive producers.

The series, which won five Emmys, started in 2014 with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the role of the two detectives. The second season followed the following year with Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams and Vince Vaughn and the third in 2019 with Mahershala Ali.
