‘The Hunger Games’ actress says she is a victim of blackmail and extortion after leaks of nude photos

Actress Willow Shields, 22, denounced that she is being the victim of blackmail and extortion after the leak of some nude photos. She shared a nude on Instagram as a reaction to the actions of a criminal, who has already been reported to the police and the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation).

“I am being blackmailed and extorted for nude photos of me, something private that should never be shared with the entire world,” Shields wrote in the selfie’s caption. According to her, the publication of the image was a way of “regaining control” of the situation.

“Here is the photo they emailed and attached, threatening to share with my friends, family and the internet. They claim they have many more ‘less harmless’ photos to use against me. I will not let someone else make choices involving the my own body. I will not allow anyone to have power over me”, explained the interpreter of the little Primrose Everdeen, younger sister of the protagonist of the “Hunger Games” franchise, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

Willow Shields said that she hopes that the investigation will be taken seriously and the criminal will answer for his actions. “I know that other people are also affected daily by revenge pornography and nudity leaks, carried out by hackers and criminals, to break the body and the mind. I understand and regret that it exists.”

The actress, who is in the cast of the film ‘A Fall From Grace’ (still without name in Portuguese and release date) by filmmakers Eric Charles and Jennifer Lynch (daughter of filmmaker David Lynch), ended the publication: “I will not tolerate any of this .
