It was revealed that the Brad Pitt could star in one of their masterpieces Martin Scorsese and Leonardo di Caprio in 2006.

He was slated to co-star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, but there was a change of plans. It’s about the movie “The Departed”in which Brad Pitt was slated to play Colin Sullivan, a role that eventually went to Matt Damon.

In 2003, Pitt, along with Warner Bros. and producer Brad Gray, had bought the rights to the American remake of Infernal Affairs, but ultimately decided that the role would suit a younger actor.

However, despite the film’s huge success, Pitt has no regrets about his decision, even though “The Departed” won the Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director.

“I worked on this movie for two and a half years, we fought over this movie, and then we got William Monahan to write the script,” Pitt explained to Interview magazine in 2012.

“Once Scorsese got involved with the film, I thought it would be better if younger actors were in the lead. I thought I was too old for this role,” he added.
