A famous bodyguard of King Charles revealed that he was once asked to star in an X-Rated film as a monarch, ahead of his upcoming coronation ceremony. THE Guy Ingle revealed the strange request in an interview with New! Magazine, according to the Mirror, as he reflected on some of the weirdest professional commitments he’s ever been asked to make.

“Once, I was asked to appear in an X-rated film, much to my surprise,” Ingle told the magazine, according to the Mirror. “I laughed at the offer, but politely declined.”

Ingle, who has worked in the entertainment industry since the 1990s, expressed his admiration for the royals.

“I’ve always had a lot of respect for royalty, so I would never portray the king in a negative light,” he said.

Ingle has starred in other films as King Charles, including the 2008 hit “Superhero Movie” alongside the late Canadian actor, Leslie Nielsen.

Ingle stated that in the early years of his life, he faced a lot of rejection before finally starting to get some traction doing royal impersonations.

And although he was quite upset when Queen Elizabeth II passed away last September, Ingle told the agency that his career had never been more active as he was no longer a “second-rate character”. “The workload has quadrupled but I have never allowed myself to be drawn into inappropriate work as I have too much respect for the royal family to do so,” he said.

Since he is so recognisable, the ‘king’ avoids taking the subway as he is often stared at or even asked questions.
