At 85, the beloved actress Jane Fonda she declares that she is busier than at any other time and reveals to “People” on the occasion of her new film, that she is living “the happiest chapter of her life”.

Four of her films have been released this year, including a comedy “Book Club: The Next Chapter, which will premiere in theaters on May 12. The star noted that filming with her friends Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenbergen in Italy was “a dream come true.”

The award-winning actress underwent chemotherapy last year after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). “There have been tragedies and difficult things in my life. But I never succumbed to them. I’ve been resilient all my life,” he emphasized.

“Something bad happens and you think, ‘Well, this has happened before and I’m fine. I will get over it”. You know what’s important. I spent a lot of time like a canoe without a paddle being carried by the current. As I grew older, I learned to put an oar in the water and drive.”

When she’s not working, Fonda enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, hiking, and watching her favorite series, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
