Exhibitions
Unfolding: Exhibition of Evangelia Biza at the National Library of Greece
The National Library of Greece (NBH) presents the bookbinding exhibition by Evangelia Biza entitled “Unfolding”, from May 8 to June 11, 2023. This exhibition, the first of its kind held at the National Library of Greece, is dedicated to work by Evangelia Biza, which, while formally classified in the field of artistic bookbinding, has for some years now moved into the wider world of visual creation. The work of Evangelia Biza is characterized by varied and sometimes contradictory assumptions, which makes her a sui generis bookbinder, who has justifiably attracted attention, not only at the national level. With a solid foundation in conservation, deep knowledge of the rules that govern art and absolute respect for them, but at the same time with ingenuity and innovation, he has not been afraid to go off the beaten track. He experiments with techniques, builds fully functional books with new structures, always works with an approach of perfection in execution.
Exposure Time: From May 8 to June 11, 2023
Hours: Monday to Sunday: 09:30 – 20:00
Free entrance
National Library of Greece, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), 364 Syngrou Ave., Kallithea. T. 2130 999 700 | https://www.nlg.gr/
