Not everyone likes a trendy event. Priyanka Chopra told in an interview that she was hungry after the Met Gala 2023, even with the traditional dinner of the event that takes place after the red carpet.
In an interview with Good Morning America, the actress said she was hungry after the ball and that her husband, singer Nick Jonas, had to order a pizza for the couple when they arrived at the hotel. “I have one complaint: there was no bread for dinner. I was so hungry afterward. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations, but a bagel would have been enough. But my husband ordered pizza when we got to the hotel, so it worked out fine.”
After the speech, she joked that complaining about the event could leave her out of the next edition. “There goes my invitation for next year. If you don’t see me at the Met, you know why.”
According to Vogue magazine, the menu served this year was chilled pea soup with vegetables, lemon crème fraîche, followed by Ōra King salmon with vegetable nage, asparagus, canned strawberries and radish.
Priyanka also said that the Met is a good opportunity to see colleagues from work and that the ball has a lot of work involved in the preparation. “The Met Gala is always so much work. Just because of that red carpet moment. But it’s so much fun for me, there are people in the industry [do entretenimento], people you haven’t seen in a long time. You can catch up with everyone.”
