“We will wipe you out” and “black in Mavrogialouros” are among the most well-known “political” slogans of old Greek cinema, with Lambros Kostantara giving a recital performance as a candidate for parliament in the film “Parchei ki Philotimos”.

In the film, Mavrogialouros and his spoiled daughter get into a car accident with… an olive tree, as they go to a pre-election inauguration of a new maternity hospital in the capital village of Platanias.

The car stops next to the small village of “Agrilos”, where the MP gets to know its poor, honest inhabitants, who open his eyes to what is really happening in his district.

But where is the yard where everything happens in the village of Agrilos?

The “village” of Agrilos is not actually a village but a famous, former winery in Attica!

The scenes of the film unfolded in the area of Pallini, specifically in one of the first wineries in Greece – that of Andreas Kampas.

It is an area of approximately 350 acres, at the junction of Attiki Street and the regional Ymittos, which includes the Kamba factory, one of the first wine factories in our country where the famous Mediterranean wine of the same name was produced.
