The body of actor Jefferson Machado was found, this Monday (23), in Rio de Janeiro. He was 44 years old and last seen on January 27. The information was confirmed to F5 by the Whereabouts Discovery Police Station, which states in a note that it is investigating the authorship and motivation of the crime.
His remains were found inside a concrete wooden chest two meters deep in a street in the Campo Grande neighborhood, west of the city. Identification of the body was only possible through the analysis of fingerprints.
Jefferson was born in the city of Araranguá, Santa Catarina, and left the state in 1997 to work. In his resume, he has a role in the soap opera “Reis” (Record) in the skin of a philistine soldier, which premiered in March 2022.
In addition to his work in the arts, Jefferson has worked as a press agent, producer and gossip columnist, and has also dedicated himself to volunteering at charity events.
The actor was involved in animal causes and had eight dogs. It was because of them that the family found out about his disappearance: the animals were found abandoned in the same region where his body was located. Two of them died and the other six were taken in by an animal protection NGO.
