  • The tragic story of Macbeth, by William Shakespeare at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation

The play “The Tragic Story of Macbeth” by William Shakespeare translated, adapted and directed by Dimitris Goutzamani will be presented for only nine performances at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation. A show that aims to highlight the essence of William Shakespeare’s classic work, preserving and justifying the beauty of the poetic language, while illuminating the psyche of the two main characters, as we meet them in the moment before the disaster. Reflecting on their journey to the end, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are confronted with building blocks of human nature, such as fear, greed, love, selfishness. Power becomes an end in itself and a means that swallows anyone who approaches it and cuts them off from themselves and the world around them. They play: Dimitris Goutzamanis,
Natalia Kirikou, Christi Papadopoulou (dual distribution).
