Rebel Wilson revealed that he auditioned for a role in the new James Bond film. The Australian actress made the revelation in an interview with Variety from the Cannes International Film Festival, where she is promoting her directorial debut, The Deb, an adaptation of an Australian musical.
Wilson explained that she was asked to audition for a role in the upcoming James Bond film when the producers of the film series, Barbara Broccoli and Michael J. Wilson was seen presenting the 2022 BAFTAs.

Wilson said that she had prepared a series of jokes about the show’s lead character, which she had to get approval from Barbara Broccoli and Michael J. Wilson, but that’s how she got in touch with them directly.

“What was really cool was that I got to audition for a movie,” said Wilson, who stressed, of course, that she wasn’t up for the role of James Bond. The audition was held last year and the actress has not clarified whether she won the role.
