The comedian Gil Brother Away, 65, known for having been a member of the program “Hermes e Renato”, is still hospitalized after suffering a stroke on May 23. The artist’s nephew, Willian Passos, started an online crowdfunding to raise funds for his treatment, which was left with consequences of what happened. Until this Tuesday afternoon (30), the initiative had already received more than R$ 22,000 in donations.
In the description of the virtual campaign, Passos reports that the uncle will have to use diapers, a wheelchair and specific medications. “Any help will be welcome to help us pay for the treatment. May God bless you all”, he says, in an excerpt.
A note on Gil Away’s official profile this Monday (29) gave an update on the artist’s current status. “Away has been reacting to the treatment; yesterday he managed to speak with his nephew, who read some messages of affection that encouraged him even more in his recovery. treatment and looking forward to being with you again”, indicated the text, which also asked for more prayers.
Away suffered a stroke after falling and hitting his head in Rio de Janeiro, where he lives.
