Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese found in Tribeca Festival in New York on the occasion of the premiere of the film “Fish Out of Water” accompanied by his producer wife, Ellen Morris and their daughter Francesca.

She is the fifth wife of the famous director and one of her rare appearances as he has been fighting for 30 years with Parkinson’s disease.

She has previously spoken about her initial reaction when she was diagnosed in 1999. She allowed herself “a night of panic” before following the family’s motto: “Go ahead”.

They married in 1999 and she became pregnant in her 50s with their daughter Francesca.

I went to my gynaecologist, who thought I was big. They recommended a doctor in New York who specialized in high-risk pregnancies, and I got pregnant right away. I was 51, with Parkinson’s. I spent a few months in bed but it was easy. I watched a lot of TVMorris told Talk Magazine.

It’s worth noting that last week Scorsese paid tribute to Michael J. Fox, when the star was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Pay attention to the amount of work Fox has done since his Parkinson’s diagnosis. Not only did he create his foundation…but he became a beacon for many Parkinson’s patients like my wife, Helen. Michael, your support meant everything to her and me“, noted Scorsese at the event.
