  • ‘Midnight Express’ on the Riviera: Favorite movie club returns again with midnight screenings

The favorite movie club “Midnight Express” returns again this summer with midnight screenings on the Exarchia Riviera. For June, every Friday at 23:00, Akis Kapranos has prepared a program for the big screen, from the first Rocky and The Exorcist of 1973 in an anniversary screening, to Alexis Damianos’ Eudokia in the restored copy of the Hellenic Film Academy. Friday, June 16, at 23:00, the film “Happines” will be shown: The blackest comedy (?) of the 90s, Todd Solondz’s masterpiece (with a shocking Philip Seymour Hoffman at the beginning of his career) almost challenges you you leave the room.

New periodic photographic exhibition of the internationally recognized and multi-awarded Greek-Israeli architecture and landscape photographer Ms. Erieta Attali, entitled: “Woodscapes / Erieta Attali On Kengo Kuma”, will be presented from June 16, 2023 on the premises of the Byzantine & Christian Museum. After the very successful photography exhibition entitled: Limina, in the summer of 2021, Attali returns to BC with another exhibition, which focuses on the wooden architectural works of the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, located in the most remote places of Japan to the center of the city of Paris. Erieta Attali’s photographic projects are developed with a multitude of images and many years of -often- dedication to the same subject. However, this second exhibition of hers at the same Museum, through a selection of fifteen photographs, is a distillation of her essential personal dialogue with architecture.
