Taylor Swift declined an invitation to appear on her podcast Meghan Markledespite receiving a “personal letter” from the Duchess.

The pop singer was invited by Meghan Markle herself to perform at the “Archetypes“, but she declined through her representative, the “Wall Street Journal” reported.

The paper details Harry and Meghan’s relationship with Netflix, with executives from the streaming giant and Spotify reportedly saying they were shocked by the couple’s lack of ideas and productivity.

Since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020 and jetting off to California to live in their new $14 million, nine-bedroom mansion, the couple have built a network of entertainment companies “to help promote their “truth”.“, the publication states.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Harry and Meghan had suggested shows that were very similar to already popular Netflix shows.

Megan’s podcast, which is produced by Spotify as part of their deal and deals with the stereotypes women face, will not continue for a second season. Meghan and Harry reportedly signed a £15 million ($20 million) deal with Spotify for the project in late 2020, but insiders at the audio giant claim the royal couple did not meet the productivity criteria required for to receive full pay, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The talent agency that recently signed Megan, WME, said: “The team behind Archetypes remains proud of the podcast she created on Spotify.”
