Maíra Cardi, 38, was disappointed by the absence of her husband, Arthur Aguiar, 32, at the premiere of Big Brother Brasil 2022 (Globo) this Monday (17). Confirmed for the reality show –as Camarote– the singer received a positive diagnosis for Covid-19, and will be out of the first days of the program, remaining in isolation in a hotel in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
The influencer and businesswoman, with whom Aguiar has a daughter, Sophia, 2, learned the news through television. After confirming that three participants had received the diagnosis, Globo only released the names during the live broadcast of the program. Jade Picon, 20, and Linn da Quebrada, 31, are also in quarantine.
Not knowing that her husband would not enter the house today, Maíra Cardi met with friends and family to accompany the BBB. With t-shirts and pillows personalized with the hashtag “#TeamArthur”, Cardi commented on her expectations of seeing her husband.
“I’m devastated. We got ready, we made t-shirts, pillows, cups, I’m devastated and I can’t deny it. I’m not going to pretend that everything is fine, isn’t it. I thought I was going to marathon the dawn, okay? one of the ‘covidados’. Here at home, everyone got Covid, except me, thank God”, he said.
In a note sent to the press, Globo stated that all participants are vaccinated against Covid-19, and that this was a prerequisite to participate in the program. Also according to the broadcaster, the three participants will enter the confinement as soon as they receive a negative diagnosis for the disease.
The date is still uncertain, but the forecast is that it will happen this week. Maíra Cardi mentioned that the entry of Arthur Aguiar will take place next Thursday (20), but it has not been confirmed.
