Ítalo Coutinho, former member of the group Dominó, denied that he had an affair with Gugu Liberato. In an interview with F5, the former musician said that he filed a lawsuit against a broadcaster who supposed a relationship between band members and the presenter, and that it was “immense cowardice to attack someone who has already died and cannot defend himself”.

The story took shape after the Link Podcast, presented by Felipeh Campos, echoed a journalist’s speech about an alleged relationship between Gugu and the boy band. The statement would have fallen to Coutinho, who was outraged. “It is clearly seen that the intention of this reporter is to destroy the image, dignity and memory of Gugu Liberato, and of everyone around him, including hurting my image and my history, without caring about the demoralization of family members and colleagues, shooting in all directions!”, he said.

The former musician, who recently participated in the reality show “A Grande Conquista”, says he never had any other involvement with the presenter. “He was my boss and he always acted in a very respectful, honest, transparent way, always interacting with my parents in every step of my career. He saw me as an exemplary professional, so much so that he left the Grupo Dominó brand for me.”

According to the artist, Gugu’s confidence and image of being a good man are what remain in memory. On the presenter’s inheritance, which is still being disputed in court, Coutinho has a firm opinion: “I think his will should prevail through the will, it is the only voice that Gugu has after he is dead.”
