The famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio congratulates Greece for its efforts to preserve biodiversity.

In particular, the Hollywood star, who is a member of the UN and deals with issues related to climate change, pointed out that Greece became the first European country to establish laws to preserve the biodiversity of areas.

In particular, he published a photo of a Greek landscape on his personal Instagram account, which he accompanied with the following caption: “Greece recently became the first European country to recognize Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) in its laws and policies. KBAs are the world’s most important places for biodiversity conservation and play a critical role in the overall health of the planet.”

Leonardo DiCaprio then noted that “The Greek government is to be congratulated for taking the lead in highlighting #KeyBiodiversityAreas as a key tool to expand a network of protected areas and preserve biodiversity on Earth.”
