BBB 22: ‘I’m not the monster that everyone thinks’, says Naiara Azevedo

The first 24 hours of Naiara Azevedo, 32, at Big Brother Brasil 2022 (Globo) were beyond intense. Guest of Camarote, the country singer enjoyed her first night of stay in the most guarded house in Brazil. In addition to dancing and interacting with the other brothers and sisters, Azevedo made a point of cooking for his colleagues in confinement during the night.

The situation ended up becoming a meme on social networks, packing the rain of negative comments involving the name of the participant – who came to be called “Karol Conká of the new edition” by netizens.

This Tuesday (18), during the live program, Azevedo talked about his temperament and commented on his performance in the kitchen after being questioned by the show’s presenter, Tadeu Schmidt, 47. “I’m not that monster that everyone thinks, I I just want to cook,” she said live.

The program also showed the brothers and sisters commenting on Naiara Azevedo this Tuesday morning (18). According to participant Pipoca Jessilane, 26, she was afraid to leave the singer alone while cooking. “She had a knife that size,” he said.

A subject inside and outside the house, Azevedo was also on the agenda among the brothers Rodrigo, Laís, Bárbara and Eslovênia. On the first night of the reality show, Pipoca participants commented on the first impressions they had of the singer. “I didn’t feel good energy,” said the model named after the European country.

The presence of Naiara Azevedo in the reality has provoked a lot of controversy due to her supposed support for President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Last year, she even participated in a lunch with him, but later, after being asked by fans, she said that she did it “in defense of the artistic class and all who make art and culture in our country”.

The presenter of the program Mais Você (Globo), Ana Maria Braga, 72, used social networks this Tuesday morning (18) to counter a recent speech made by a singer at BBB 22. Naiara said during a conversation that she did not see “shades different from skin” and said she was taught by her parents “to love and respect”. On her Instagram, Ana Maria explained that she sees this speech as problematic.

“Not wanting racism to exist is different from denying it. I’ve learned from surrounding myself with patient and loving people that this ‘equality thinking’ causes black people pain.”
