Almost 100 daring to capture the creations from the first appearances or the first collections of new fashion designers will be presented in a much-anticipated exhibition by the Design Museum in London. A centerpiece of the ‘Rebel: 30 Years of London Fashion’ exhibition will be the provocative swan dress designed for KTZ by UK-based North Macedonian designer Marjan Pejoski, which Björk wore to the 2001 Oscars, stunning everyone, especially after an egg tumbled from the creation onto the floor.

The exhibition is sponsored by Alexander McQueen and ‘Rebel: 30 Years of London Fashion’ is a collaboration between the Design Museum and the British Fashion Council (BFC) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the BFC’s NEWGEN programme; all the designers in the show had the first years of their career support from NEWGEN.

Visitors will be left speechless by the many instantly recognizable fashion creations on show, but we hope they will also be enthralled by the breadth, depth, variety and world-class talent that has emerged over the past three decades from London’s fashion scene.“, underlined Tim Marlow, director and CEO of the Design Museum.

The exhibition will open on September 16 and end on February 11, 2024.
