Kevin Costner scored a court victory on Wednesday July 5, 2023 amid his divorce from estranged wife Christine Baumgartner.

A judge is ordering the 49-year-old handbag designer to move out of their shared family home by July 31, upholding the terms of their existing prenuptial agreement, according to TMZ.

Christine Baumgartner’s lawyers, however, argued that she did not have enough time or money to find another place to stay until the end of the month. They asked the judge to grant an extension until August 15. Nevertheless, the judge ultimately rejected their request. In May, the actor’s ex-wife filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Then, he asked for joint custody of their three children, with the actor also submitting the same request. Sources told Page Six that the “Yellowstone” star was taken aback by Christine Baumgartner’s decision to split.

After she filed for divorce, Kevin Costner claimed that his ex-wife was refusing to move out of their shared home, even though she had signed the specific clause in their prenuptial agreement.

The “Bodyguard” actor said he had already given his ex-wife more than $1.2 million, which he claimed was more than enough for her to find somewhere else to stay.

Costner also reportedly offered to give his ex-wife a $10,000 down payment for her moving expenses and $30,000 a month to rent a house, “as part of his child support obligations.” However, Christine Baumgartner argued at the time that her estranged husband had “no legal basis” to sue her.

The mother of three, who said she hasn’t worked since their oldest son was born in 2007, is asking for $248,000 a month in child support.
