One musical “journey” with the participation of great Greek artists will take place in the grove of Agios Nikolaos, the period from July 28 to 31in its context 2nd Festival “Water Festivals”, organized by the municipality of Naoussa.

The Festival program was presented today by the mayor of Naoussa, Nikolas Karanikolas, and the deputy mayor for Culture, Giorgos Triantaphyllos, next to the Arapitsa river.

“The festival intends to breathe new life into the cultural development of our region, at the same time showcasing the natural beauties of our Municipality. Our ambition and goal is for this new institution to host the greatest musical ensembles of our country, the pioneers of the Greek music sceneestablished artists but also to give a platform to young and local creators” Mr. Karanikolas pointed out, among other things.

For his part, the vice-mayor Mr. Triantaphyllou emphasized that the proceeds from a concert will be allocated to the strengthening of a social institution in the area, in order to strengthen the city’s hospital.

The curtain of the Festival will open on Friday, July 28, at Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Eleonora Zouganelis who will perform “Together” on stage, while on Saturday, the 29th of the month, it will be the turn of Evanthia Reboutsika. Both concerts will have free admission (special invitations).

On Sunday, July 30, at 11:30 a.m. a musical picnic is planned with the participation of musical groups (free entry) and on Monday, July 31 the Folk Orchestra “Mikis Theodorakis” with Iota Nega, Angelos Theodorakis and Kostas Patsias will take the public on a “Magic Night” (admission 15 euros).
