Rod Stewart ended his UK tour in Edinburgh with a surprise duet he performed with his 94-year-old sister Mary.

On Monday night (July 10), the 78-year-old’s sister took to the stage to perform her brother’s track ‘Sailing’ with him. Stewart introduced his older sister as he took the stage, announcing to the audience: “That’s my sister! 94 years old!”.

The duo then sang the song in an embrace, while the audience adored them.

In a subsequent interview with the Mirror, the singer described what it meant to him to have his sister on stage with him. “At 94, she’s on the rock and roll scene and she’s enjoying it,” he said. “He taught me and continues to teach me about life.” Stewart is the youngest of five children. Last year, the “All for Love” singer announced the death of his brother Bob, who died aged 88 just two months after the death of their older brother Don who was 94.
