The long-awaited film had a brilliant premiere in the City of Light “Oppenheimer” written, produced and directed by him Christopher Nolan. According to the Daily Mail after it was screened at the historic ‘Le Grand Rex’ social media was flooded with rave reviews from those who saw the much talked about $100 million project.

The award-winning director’s 12th film stars an enviable all-star cast with Irish actor Cillian Murphy playing physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer or the “Father of the Atomic Bomb”.

Accompanied by his film producer wife, Emma Thomas, Nolan received a standing ovation upon his arrival on the red carpet as he spoke on stage about his special relationship with France and the famous Grand Rex which opened its doors in 1932.

“When we made our first film ‘Memento’ no one in the world had shown it until the Grand Rex Theater closed it,” said the director, adding that after it was shown “our lives changed”.

A very warm reception was given by fans and journalists to the low-key Cillian Murphy while Emily Blunt wearing a green silk creation by the famous house Balmain spoke about him saying: “I love working with him. He is the best”.

It was the first time that Matt Damon was accompanied by his daughters on the red carpet as he spent 40 minutes with his fans signing autographs.

Robert Downey Jr. made an impressive entrance as he said that “Oppenheimer” is different from the other films he has starred in.

According to Variety, the film will open in theaters on July 21.
