Singer and actor Nick Jonas, 29, and actress Priyanka Chopra, 39, announced on social media this Friday (21) the birth of their first child. She was born on Saturday (15) through surrogacy, according to People
“We are delighted to confirm that we have welcomed a baby through surrogacy. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family,” the couple shared on their social media accounts.
Jonas and Priyanka celebrated their marriage with a lavish party in New Delhi alongside celebrities such as the Prime Minister of India and Hollywood personalities in December 2018.
The event took place in a hotel after three days of celebration in a historic hilltop palace in the city of Jodhpur, including cricket matches and Bollywood dance routines.
The guest list for this Tuesday’s party included Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who posed for photographs alongside Priyanka. The bride wore a sequined Indian outfit and Jonas wore a blue and black tuxedo.
Former Miss Mundo, Priyanka starred in three seasons of the series “Quantico”, on the American channel ABC, shown in Brazil by AXN, becoming the first Indian woman to head a drama on American television. In India, she is one of the highest paid film stars in Bollywood.
Nick and his brothers Kevin and Joe formed the boy band Jonas Brothers in 2005 and rose to fame as members of Disney’s teen star group. The band broke up in 2013.
