Brother of the musical duo Matheus and Kauan, Marcos Vinicius Aleixo Pinto, 29 years old, was arrested in the early afternoon of Friday (11th), on suspicion of having committed an attempted murder against his ex-wife’s cousin, in Itapuranga, in the central region of Goiás. According to the Civil Police, the suspect would have acted when his ex-wife was leaving his house in the company of their three-year-old son. According to her testimony, Aleixo would have unexpectedly wielded a knife and struck a blow to the left side of his cousin’s back, who was with him during the visit.
Later, the man was found in a rural area of the city and, during his arrest, a portion of marijuana was found in his possession. According to a statement from the Chief of Police Piloto, the victim is out of danger and will have to give a statement at the police station.
The police authority also stressed that, according to the victim, there was no discussion prior to the attack. In addition, it was highlighted that Aleixo was arrested in flagrante delicto on the charge of attempted murder, and the knife used in the crime was seized.
