Amidst the backstage crisis of “Vai Que Cola” (Multishow), Cacau Protásio —the sitcom’s Terezinha— took a stand on the scriptwriters’ accusations about the series’ actors. After the dismissal of André Gabeh, one of the few black writers in the group, the authors of the texts released a letter exposing the interference of the interpreters on the team.

Signed by six of them, the document says that “the cast’s implication or persecution with the author is not new”, which would have as a consequence the permanence or not of the team members.

Cacau disagrees: “I’ve been at ‘Vai Que Cola’ for 11 years and for 11 years I’ve been trying to get several people to work with me and I can’t. So do you think that after 11 years I managed to get one person out of there?”. The actress said she was “scared” when she learned of the accusation and that she has no power over decisions: “I’m sad that he was sent away, but I can’t do anything. I don’t have that power.” And she added: “If I had [poder]the program would be much better”.

Cacau says that the cast is free to opine about the proposed lines: “Every time a text comes, we have ownership and freedom to say what we want”. According to a previous report by F5Gabeh tried to put social criticism and more politicized jokes in the attraction, deviating a little from its main purpose, but the cast understood that the nonsense line, which characterized the humorous since the first season, in 2012, could not be lost.

The actress also defended that the accusation should be made to the producers of the series: “It is much easier to accuse the cast than to accuse Rede Globo or Multishow.
