“Poor Things” is the film adaptation of the satirical novel by the Scottish Alistair Gray, released in 1992 and released in Greek as “Lost Bodies”.

In the new poster, Emma Stone’s blue eyes “look” straight at the viewer, which are in stark contrast to her dark hair.

Emma Stone plays Bella Baxter, a young Victorian woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Dafoe.

Under his protection she is willing to learn. “Hungry” for the worldliness she lacks, Bella will follow Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a skilled lawyer, on an adventure across all continents. Freed from the prejudices of her time, Bella stands firm in her cause to stand for equality and liberation.

The film by Giorgos Lanthimos makes its world premiere at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. In Greece, the film will be released on January 4, 2024.
