The family of presenter Fausto Silva starred this Sunday (3) in a campaign by the Ministry of Health to raise awareness of organ donation in Brazil. The piece was posted on Instagram.
Called September Verde, the video brought Faustão’s wife, Luciana Cardoso, and children João Guilherme, Rodrigo and Lara, together, and talking about the experience that the father had in recent weeks and which mobilized Brazil.
In the video, the four appear and say they are campaigning to change Brazil’s view on the subject. “Organs don’t go to heaven. They have a second mission on earth, which is to help those in need”, commented João Guilherme Silva in the video.
“The hope of a second chance depends on you. Make your willingness to be a donor explicit. That way you can save the life of those in need”, comments the piece.
On Thursday (31), the journalist posted a video on Instagram and stated that he will be eternally grateful to the donor, the former varzea soccer player, Fábio Cordeiro da Silva, and his family.
“I want to give a special thanks to José Pereira da Silva, Fábio’s father, who was incredibly grandiose, absurdly generous and allowed me to stay alive. He gave me the chance to live again.”
