Balmain haute couture clothes that were to be presented at the upcoming show at Paris Fashion Week, made a splash when unknown people stole the truck carrying them yesterday!

With a post on Instagram, the designer Olivier Rousteing he explained to his fans that more than 50 sets from the house’s new collection were stolen.

In his post, Rousteing wrote to his 9.8 million followers: “Woke up this morning with a smile, starting rehearsals for my next show at 9am. and this is what happened… 50 Balmain creations were stolen. The delivery was stolen. The truck was stolen. Thank God the driver is safe.”

The head of the Balmain house said that the demonstration will take place on the scheduled date, September 27 near the Eiffel Tower. “So many people worked so hard to create this collection. We repeat everything, but this is so disrespectful,” he pointed out.

Rousteing also added that the team will put in extra hours to make sure the fashion show happens.

“We will work more, days and nights, our suppliers will also work days and nights… So many workers, suppliers, my team and me. Please be safe, this is the world we live in. I love you team Balmain and we will not give up” he noted.

Many fashion designers with their messages expressed their support for Olivier Rousteing, including Simon Porte Jacquemus who wrote in the comments: “Strength.”
