Natalie Portman married dancer Benjamin Millepeid, after falling in love while filming Black Swan in 2009, when Millepeid was the choreographer for the award-winning film. However, things seem to have gone “wrong” after his infidelity and the actress asked him for a divorce.

The couple announced their engagement after a year of dating: “I have always protected and kept my personal life private. However, at this stage of my life I will say that I am indescribably happy and I feel very grateful to have this experience,” the famous actress said at the time.

Just a year after announcing their engagement, Natalie Portman gave birth to their son Aleph, and then a year later, Millepeid and Portman “joined” the bonds of matrimony during a Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, California.

Four years later, in 2016, they announced that they were expecting their baby girl Amalia, who was born in February 2017. With Amalia’s arrival, everything seemed to be great, until the bombshell dropped. According to Voici, the French news agency, she reported that her husband was having an extramarital affair with climate change activist Camille Étienne. The 46-year-old principal dancer of the Paris Opera made a statement about the situation, acknowledging his mistake.
“It’s a huge mistake and he’s doing everything he can to get his wife to forgive him and keep their family together,” a source close to the actor told People.

The couple have since separated and their status is unclear, however, they are doing their best to limit the pain and focus on raising their two children.
