We will be a couple as long as it is good for us, says Fernanda Lima amid celebrity breakups

On the internet, it is common for many people to treat actor and presenter Rodrigo Hilbert, 43, as the last living romantic. After all, he built the chapel where he married, in 2021, presenter Fernanda Lima, 46.

As if that wasn’t enough, he also earned the label of handyman. He got down to business and set up a roller coaster in his backyard to the delight of his twin sons João and Francisco, 15. The youngest Maria Manoela, 3, received a handmade dollhouse as a gift. At the time of the pandemic, jokes on the web suggested that Hilbert was the creator of the vaccine and syringe.

Not to mention the skills in the kitchen to hook your loved one in the stomach. It’s no surprise that Hilbert has been running a gastronomic attraction at GNT for over 10 years, Tempero de Família.

But, believe me, dear mortal: all this “perfection” is far from being fundamental to maintaining his relationship with Fernanda, which began in 2001 and, between on and off, has lasted from 2006 to this day.

“We cannot idealize that these attributes are necessary to hold a marriage or even to transform him into a hero. It would be a disservice to society and an injustice to all women in Brazil and around the world”, says the presenter to F5.

The year 2023 has caused commotion among fans with a series of break-ups between famous couples who were previously considered untouchable. Who could have ever imagined that Sandy would exchange “until death do us part” for “may it be eternal while it lasts” and announce the end of her marriage to Lucas Lima? Because in the same week that he revealed the news to Brazil, other relationships and marriages went down the drain.

Firm with Hilbert, Fernanda says she doesn’t want people to see her relationship as an example. “Romantic idealization is for those who watch, and not for those who live. Rodrigo and I are a couple of flesh and blood. We will be a couple as long as it is good for us and for our family”, she says.

And, after mentioning that he “is a great father and a great husband”, he highlights: “Even if one day it ends (I hope it never happens), we will already have achieved what we set out to do: share a life, build a family and be partners in our dreams”.

PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS AND PLANS

Next year, Fernanda Lima will complete 25 years of career on TV. Her first job seen by the general public was as presenter of Mochilão MTV, in 1999.

“I’m very grateful for everything I’ve done and experienced on TV. I needed these last four years to focus on my last pregnancy and motherhood. I believe this has been my biggest project in recent years. Now that she [Maria] She’s already bigger, I feel more energetic and inspired to create again”, she comments.

Currently, the presenter is dedicated to a personal project on her own social networks called “Minha Viagem”, in which she connects with her children, nature and her routine around the world. She also participates in advertising campaigns — she responded to the report during a campaign for the Usaflex brand.

Regarding the possibility of resuming her career as an actress —she acted in Globo shows such as “Bang Bang”, in 2005, and “Pé na Jaca”, in 2006—, Fernanda says that she feels more comfortable in other aspects.

“I prefer to speak in the first person and not through a character. Acting is a very serious job and I’m one of those people who doesn’t know how to leave the character on set. It’s very intense for me, I haven’t developed the tools to separate things (laughs)”, he adds .
