It’s been almost a month since the release of his new series was announced Netflix, The Fall of the House of Usher (and to say it with its original title “The Fall of the House of Usher”), all of us fanatics of the most gloomy producers, were counting down the days to watch it.

Already from the trailer and in combination with the information that it is a production of the creators of Haunting of the Hill House, the bar was set quite high and we can say that, in the end, the result did not disappoint us. Secrets, hidden agreements, mysterious deaths and an empire that is slowly crumbling make up the story that will occupy us in this series. But let’s see things from the beginning.

The present, the past and the future…

The case moves on multiple time levels. A meeting in the present of the story triggers the narration of the entire plot and takes us back to the 50s, from where the path of our heroes begins. From there, we follow them throughout their lives, watching their development and – in a sense – empathizing with them. The narrative jumps from the distant past to the near, creating a cause-and-effect relationship between the two, which foreshadows the overall outcome of our story. But what is this story?
