On October 17th, the iconic Teatro alla Scala in Milan (the Scala of Milan) inaugurated its new landmark building in Via Verdi.

In the early 2000s, Teatro alla Scala underwent a major transformation, with work starting in 2001 and successfully completed in 2004. The new addition marks a major milestone in the history of the famous theater following its extensive renovation.

The tower offers 11 floors, dedicated to offices, ballet rehearsal rooms, and set assembly areas.

At the same time, the renovation of the main performance and concert hall of the famous Scala continues at a feverish pace, while its temporary “home” is the Archiboldi Theatre.

When the work is completed – estimated in the spring of 2024 – it will be a hall with the latest technology, in terms of the audio-visual part.
