She danced with the Maasai, fed orphaned baby elephants and shopped at local bazaars, fulfilling her duties flawlessly
King Charles and Queen Camilla are making an official trip to Kenya, with intense political as well as environmental interest on the part of the royal couple, who do not have time to attend events.
So far, 76-year-old Camila has done a great job – she’s even bottle-fed orphaned baby elephants at a sanctuary in the National Park in Nairobi and petted rhinos, even wearing mud boots (not chic).
Britain’s royal couple were also given a tour of a donkey sanctuary. In addition to their tour, members of the Maasai tribe presented the couple with traditional tribal costumes.
In fact, Camila agreed to wear a red cape and then danced traditional dances with Maasai women.
After visiting the donkeys, the Queen of Britain decided to go shopping in a local market.
Camila bought a sisal basket made by a Kenyan woman, jewelry, a blanket, a basket, and some cashew butter, which she said is better than “peanut butter.”
