Tori Spelling says negative comments on social media are ‘hard to deal with’

by

Actress Tori Spelling, 48, revealed in an interview with Fox News that she tries “not to read” negative comments on social media, but still finds them “hard to deal with” because she is “human”.

“So, you know, sometimes I fall down that rabbit hole, but just let it go. I think, ‘It’s not about me. Ultimately, it’s about them and how they feel.’ people,” he said.

Spelling, who played Donna Martin in the 1990s hit TV series Barred at the Ball, went on to explain how she faced criticism for more than three decades as a public figure.

“I’ve had it since I was 16 when my career started, so, you know, I have really thick skin at this point,” she said.

The mother of five also said it was “incomprehensible” to see how “negative comments come mostly from women and sometimes mothers”.

“We talk a lot about, you know, women support women, women build each other up, we have to be there for each other,” she pointed out.

“And when you see another woman doing that to you, and especially many of them, they are mothers and they will be embarrassing your child,” Spelling added.

This isn’t the first time Spelling has opened up about receiving criticism online. Last year, the actress shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, talking about the pressures of social media.
