Share prices closed with significant gains in today’s meeting Stock Exchangewith the market rebounding above the “psychological barrier” of 2,000 units. From the high capitalization, the shares of Viohalco, Piraeus and Alpha Bank outperformed, while the securities of OTE and Sarantis were under pressure.

O General Price Index closed at 2,019.25 points, up 1.15%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 2,028.15 units (+1.60%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 240.95 million euros, while 37,904,894 shares were traded.

The total market capitalization increased by 1.284 billion euros compared to yesterday’s session.

The large-cap index gained 1.25%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.19%.

Of the large capitalization stocks, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Viohalco (+4.65%), Piraeus (+2.60%), Alpha Bank (+2.51%), Metlen (+2.24%), TITAN (+2.23%) and Elvalhalcor (+1.99%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (-2.39%) and OTE (-2.21%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 10,698,200 and 5,364,463 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 36.93 million euros and Piraeus with 34.51 million euros.

82 stocks moved up, 26 fell and 18 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Doppler (+9.77%) and Ektor (+8.73%).

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Nafpaktos Textiles (-3.35%) and Crete Plastics (-2.63%).
