Even though he was not on the guest list for King Charles III’s birthday party, Prince Harry was part of the official celebrations for the monarch’s 75th birthday. The official profile of the royal family on Instagram shared a video with a compilation of photos from the life of Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son (1926- 2022), this Tuesday (14).
Harry appears in three moments in the publication. The first shows the day he left the maternity ward on his mother’s lap, Princess Diana, with Charles accompanying the duo. In the second click, the two are together on a trip, and in another, the two appear smiling at a real event in 1996.
“Wishing His Majesty the King a Happy 75th Birthday,” the family’s official profile captioned the montage. Harry and his brother, Prince William, and their father do not appear together in any of the photos.
According to the BBC, despite not being called to his father’s birthday festivities, there is an expectation that Harry will call to wish the family patriarch a happy birthday. Charles and Diana’s youngest son had already reported that he would now need to make an appointment to visit his relatives in London.
In early November, in a statement to the Daily Mail, a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan Markle said that neither of them had received an invitation to the celebration. “In response to UK media headlines, there has been no contact regarding a invitation to Her Majesty’s next birthday”.
