There’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit if you’re in London, from a walk through its streets with the unique decoration and impressive trees that overshadow the grandeur of the city’s imposing buildings, reports the British magazine “Harper’s Bazaar”. All London landmarks, hotels, restaurants, department stores these days start an unofficial competition for the most spectacular Christmas decoration.

  • Claridge’s

Every year the luxury hotel “Claridge’s” becomes a point of reference since it hosts trees under the supervision of famous creators. This year’s original creation is from the French house Louis Vuitton. It consists of two large open trunks in the characteristic pattern and color of the house combined with the hotel logo which look like a huge wardrobe and reach a height of 5.2 meters.

Inside, the tree consists of 15 vertically placed chrome metal suitcases at different heights to create the silhouette of a traditional Christmas tree, reflecting the hotel’s Art Deco architecture.

45 Park Lane Hotel collaborated with British artist and writer Hormazd Narielwalla who inspired handmade figurines representing iconic figures of British pop culture such as David Bowie, Shirley Bassey, Freddie Mercury and George Michael to adorn the branches of “Music Icon” tree. The ornaments will be available for sale in January 2024 and all proceeds will go to charity.

Taking inspiration from Pulitzer Prize-winning Robert Frost’s poem ‘Standing in the Woods on a Snowy Night’ the iconic restaurant transformed four of its spaces into enchanting winter wonderland scenes that take your breath away, while guests are transported through a magical tunnel, with frozen pine branches and silver birches with snow. The three-story building that has dominated since 1779 hosts the exhibition entitled “The Surreal White Christmas” which will welcome the public until January 8, 2024.
