The director of the film series “Twilight”, Kathryn Hardwickrevealed which actors he thinks would be the “perfect” replacements for the lead roles in a remake of the cult classic epic.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson starred as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the romantic fantasy films based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular vampire book series.

During a recent episode of Josh Horowitz’s podcast “Happy Sad Confused,” Hardwick said that the Jenna Ortega and Jacob Elordi “would be perfect” as Bella and Edward if a remake was ever made.

Last week, Ortega dropped out of the upcoming ‘Scream 7’since her co-star, Melissa Barrerawas fired over comments he made about the Gaza conflict on social media.

Elsewhere in the interview, Hardwick revealed that Pattinson almost wasn’t cast in the lead role in the 2008 film because studio executives had objections to his physical features.
