Beyoncé’s presence in Brazil stirred up artists who are fans of the singer on Thursday night (21). Actress Bruna Marquezine, for example, reposted several comments on X (formerly Twitter) about the surprise visit, including a suggestion that Salvador once again become the country’s capital.
Beyoncé participated, in the city of Bahia, in a preview event for the documentary “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé”. She took the stage at the capital’s Convention Center wrapped in a state flag.
In videos published on social media, Lore Improta did not hide his excitement. “The woman came to my city, with the flag of my Bahia in her hands. She didn’t let go of the Bahian flag. What a power we are,” she said.
The influencer received information about the American artist’s arrival around 7:30 pm, but it took her a while to believe it. Singer Léo Santana, Lore’s husband, also doubted it. He said he would only believe it when he could see Beyoncé, which actually happened.
Mysteriously at the beginning of the night, Ludmilla, who began her career as MC Beyoncé, published a photo of the famous arrival in Salvador, passing through the bamboo grove that marks the passage of those who disembark at the local airport. The singer was seen by fans at the city’s Convention Center.
Early in the morning, Ludmilla posted a video on Instagram in which she celebrated and stated that she lived the happiest day of her life. “MC Beyonce, it was always for you, thank you for not giving up,” she wrote.
“Whoever has a jet has everything”, commented presenter Astrid Fontenelle about Beyoncé’s quick visit to Bahia. “He came from NY to say he loves us.”
Journalist Maíra Azevedo, aka Tia Má, also celebrated the fact that the singer used the Bahian flag as a cloak. “Sorry for the shouting, I went crazy,” she said.
Nanda Costa broadcast part of the event at the Convention Center, amidst screaming fans, music and fireworks. “She came,” announced the actress.
“Thank you for choosing our city, among many others around the world, for the release of the film. Here you are always welcome and 2024 is right there”, wrote the mayor of Salvador, Bruno Reis (União Brasil).
