Mark the dates in your calendar and watch the sky…
A new year is coming and with it will come changes… Like nature itself, the universe is not a malevolent force. The purpose of the planets is to reflect, initiate and illuminate.
In the words of occultist Aleister Crowley, “astrology has no more useful function than this: to discover man’s innermost nature and bring it to his consciousness so that he can fulfill it according to the law of light”.
Mark the dates in your calendar and watch the sky… There will be many surprises this year.

Pluto enters Aquarius: revolutionary changes and progress at any cost
- 20 January – 1 September 2024
- November 19, 2024 – January 18, 2044
Small but mighty, Pluto is the planet of power and ultimate transformation. It was discovered in 1930 and was – aptly – named after the god of the Underworld. Pluto moves into Aquarius on January 20th. The last time the planet Pluto moved into the sign of Aquarius was 1778-1798 – two decades that saw the French, American and Industrial Revolutions, as well as the Age of Enlightenment.
Pluto’s course towards the future will be interesting to watch, as the “New York Post” writes in its article. There is a utopian tendency in the Aquarian archetype, but since Aquarius is a fixed sign, the definition of progress is decisive.
Since Aquarius “rules” electricity and technology, we may see developments in renewable energy (a Pluto theme) and more of us wondering how technology can benefit everyone and not just line the pockets of a few!
With Pluto at the helm and Aquarius at the helm, there is a fatal energy… a new world order ‘Fight Club’ in this transit. It is revolution without nuances and progress at any cost.
Calendar of doom: these 2024 dates will bring destruction, volatility during astrological shifts https://t.co/vSSVe67qrd via @nypost

When it comes to Pluto, the planet “tests” the mettle of its… “children” to push out whatever is holding them back. Rarely kind but always necessary is the name of the game here, and we can’t see what will become until we burn what has been.

North Link in Aries, South Link in Libra
- March 24 – April 8
- September 17 – October 2
Lunar links represent our innate karmic imbalance and our cosmic urge to evolve, change and break free.
Lunar links spend a year and a half in a set of zodiac polarities, bringing out the archetypal and oppositional themes associated with these signs. The nodes correspond to the seasons of eclipses – when sudden changes and radical revelations sweep through our lives.
The functional energy of the North Node of the Moon is more (we consume), while that of the South Node is less (we release).
The North Node moved into Aries in July 2023 – and its effects will be felt throughout 2024. Themes that will come to light include autonomy versus avoidance, people-pleasing versus problem-solving; conflicts and assertive action versus passive adaptation.
As detailed by astrologer Astro Butterfly, “Aries-Libra is the axis of relationships, which we might also call the axis of identity, because nothing shapes us more on a personal level than our close, 1-to-1 relationships… The South Link in Libra is “You win”. North Node in Aries is “I win”. South Node in Libra + North Node in Aries is… “win””.

Mercury retrograde “catch fire”: Mercury: Verbal instability, creative reflection
- Mercury retrograde in Aries: April 1-25
- Mercury retrograde in Virgo/Leo: August 4-28
- Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius: November 25 – December 15
Mercury retrogrades are a familiar kind of… chaos. In this retrograde cycle, however, Mercury does its thing in the fire signs, lending these transits more instability.
The same rules apply – pause before responding, double-check contracts, don’t text your ex, sort out your affairs, etc.
With this situation, we are called upon to review and re-examine our relationships with assertion/dominion, creation/performance, and seeking/avoidance.

Jupiter enters Gemini: Expansion through partnership
- 25 May 2024 – 9 June 2025
Jupiter is our great benefactor. A wise adventurer – with dice in hand and cash in pocket – is the planet of generosity and expansion, good fortune and happy tidings. While Pluto transforms everything it touches, Jupiter amplifies everything.
As astrologer Gahl Sasson, author of the book “The Astrology of 2024” points out, “whatever sign Jupiter “adorns” is also the sign whose archetype can give us the greatest success. For the first 5 months of the year, Jupiter travels to Taurus and can help you tap into your talents, clarify your values, improve your finances, discover new talents and improve your self-esteem. During the last 7 months of the year, Jupiter “flirts” with Gemini. This can help your communication, business, your relationship with relatives and neighbors (I hope he means neighboring countries), as well as writing and sales”. Really, with this transit, the more you know, the more you grow.
