Between elves and fairies, an enchanted land awaits us. The little song from “Carousel” (I know, it was cringe!) won’t leave your head when visiting the BBB 24 house, which was opened for the visit of a group of journalists, of which the F5 participated, on Thursday (4), before the program’s premiere.
The decoration inspired by fairy tales, according to Globo, brings these elements — elves and fairies — in several rooms. They share their attention with angels, skeletons, pretend birds, dried flowers, an apple reminiscent of Snow White and a red rose, like the one in “Beauty and the Beast”.
At the entrance, which was through a side entrance, and not through the door through which the participants enter the public, it is possible to perceive the dichotomy to which the setting seems to want to refer. One side is a forest with a cursed air, with carnivorous plants as decoration. The other has cute mushrooms and dried flowers. There is a Big Fone on each side.
The patio is covered, which should ensure that rain does not interfere with outdoor activities even on gray days. Only the pool part (which has stools for those who want to gossip while sitting in the water) is open, with a view of the Curicica forest, in the west of Rio, where Estúdios Globo is located.
Inside the house, the layout of the lower floor remains similar to that of previous years. The room with a large red sofa facing the screen where the presenter Tadeu Schmidt communicates with the participants has book pages hanging on an ornament, as if they were flying from the library on the second floor (in fact, a wall glued to give this cultured air to the environment.
The confessional is right at the front, with green walls and lots of plants in the back and a large classic armchair with a very high back, with an Alice in Wonderland feel. Soon there is the collective bathroom, which has a scenographic water well, giving the impression of being outside. What draws the most attention, however, is the synthetic grass on the floor, which shouldn’t make cleaning the room any easier.
Directly opposite is a room with forest motifs, with logs, insects and gnomes filling the decor in shades of green and brown. There are 3 single beds and one double bed.
The other bedroom (very girly) is on the other side of the ground floor, after the kitchen. It has shades of pink and decoration of butterflies, fairies and trees with pink leaves. There are 6 single beds and one double bed. I’m in the humanities, but it looks like there will be a lack of beds for some of the 26 announced participants.
It is worth remembering, however, that only these two rooms were released for the press visit. The leader’s room and the third collective room, which had already been announced as new for the season, were not open. They are probably on the second floor (or outside the house), where there was no permission to walk around.
Finally, the kitchen is divided into two, one part for VIP participants (group with perks and varied food) and another for Xepa participants (group with fewer food options). The first has strong colors and black dishes, while the second is rustic and dishes in earthy tones (I would love to have half the utensils that are in either of the two).
The refrigerator (similar to mine) was empty, but it was already possible to see the advertisement for one of the program’s sponsoring brands. Yes, inside the fridge there is merchandise, with the logo and hashtag of the program’s official margarine.
The appliance itself, by the way, is also an advertisement, as it was placed there after an agreement with a manufacturer. As well as all other products that appear within it from January 8th. After all, at BBB, nothing is by chance.
