The actress has opened up about her struggle with her body weight
In the past, she shared the habits and fitness routine that helped her shed 30 pounds. A few days ago, the well-known actress shared in a post on Instagram that she recently gained 14 kilos. She noted that she was busy working on new films, which led to stress.
“The hard work meant that, due to stress, I gained 14kg! This makes me feel bad about myself… I shouldn’t… but it is,” she wrote Wilson along with a short video and a photo of her. “I’m really proud of the work I’m doing, the new movies and my memoir, it’s just been a lot and it’s taken my attention away from living a healthy lifestyle.”

Wilson, in 2020 had established a “year of health”, which changed her life
Apart from her physical health, she took care of her mental health as well. “I have to take a really holistic approach this time,” said the star in her appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” “I think what I suffered from the most was emotional eating and dealing with the stress and pressure of being internationally famous. There’s a lot of stress that comes with it, and I guess my way of dealing with it was eating donuts.” She continued: “I had no self-esteem and nutritionally, my diet was full of carbs and I had to eat a lot more protein.”
Wilson’s honesty this week about her struggle to lose the weight she regained seemed to resonate with her Instagram followers. Her post received over 150,000 likes and the comments below the post were especially supportive. The next day, the actress updated her post thanking her fans with emotion.
Regaining weight after loss is much more common than you think
While weight regain can be frustrating, it is not uncommon after weight loss. Some tips for maintaining a healthy weight after weight loss include following a “healthy and realistic” diet. Ideally, this diet would be lower in calories than the diet before weight loss. A good planning also always helps.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) also recommends that people stay active to maintain weight loss. Specifically, 60 to 90 minutes of “moderate intensity” physical activity most days of the week is all you need.
People who have maintained their weight after losing weight tend to monitor their diet and activity on an ongoing basis. Very useful in this case are applications or a calendar. Apart from these, a supportive environment can always do wonders!
If there’s one thing you should keep from Rebel Wilson, it’s the following
Weight comes and goes and Wilson knows it well. “If you are like me, know that you are much more than your weight. Your weight does not define you. Try to be healthy and don’t be hard on yourself. Be the best version of yourself.” This is what the actress has said in the past and it’s the right self-love message you need if you’ve been a harsh judge of yourself. Especially when it comes to your image and weight.
